acac@work

identifying health risks to promote a healthier work force in our community

Due to the rising increase in high health care costs, acac fitness & wellness has established acac@work.

Acac@work provides onsite confidential Health Risk Assessment (HRA) Screenings that identifies each individual's high health risks.

Employees go through a series of stations in which we screen for body composition, lipid/glucose levels, blood pressure. A confidential questionnaire is provided to each employee to further identify health risks and lifestyle choices that may enhance or reduce health risks. These screenings provide acac@work with information that will create each individual employee's personal wellness profile.

The personal wellness profile contains an individual high health risks i.e. Diabetes, coronary, cancer etc. The employer will receive the overall company average, and absolutely no individual results are shown to the employer.

Wellness screenings can pick up over 20% of treatable health risks in your population and these screenings allow you to take action before much of the damage has occurred. This in turn reduces treatment costs substantially.
An outlook of prevention offers great returns, and will move your company through stages of change.

Evidence of HRA Return on Investment:

  • PacBell - $3.10/$1
  • Bank of America - $5.96/$1
  • Wisconsin School District - $4.47/$1
  • Prudential Insurance - $2.90/$1
  • General Mills - $3.50/$1
  • Citibank - $6.30/$1
  • A recent study of 8 companies with wellness programs had an average ROI of $3.35/$1

"ACAC did an excellent job of performing a health screening for our employees. Their staff was very professional and went out of their way to protect the confidentiality of our employees, treat each person as an individual, and get the tests done with a minimal interruption to our work day. They uncovered some very threatening health conditions that were previously undiagnosed and skillfully guided the effected individual to a proper course of corrective actions. The whole experience was a big morale booster for our company."
David Sutton, President, Tiger Fuel Co.

"In today's climate of rising health care costs, the HRAs have been an invaluable tool to start the dialogue about wellness. It has not only helped our employees learn about their own vital statistics but we can now use this information to start some educational seminars to help our employees learn about health issues they may be facing or want to avoid."
Blair K. Williamson, President, S. L. Williamson Co., Inc.

"Contracting with acac@work for health evaluations proved to be a wise decision for our company. They were friendly, well organized, and professional. They processed the employee flow in a timely manner and the Personal Wellness Reports were received in a matter of a few days. acac@work was a good fit for our organization."
Dana Bennett, RN Klöckner Pentaplast

"Our company was having real problems dealing with escalating health insurance premiums. We wanted to find a way to engage our employees so that they could lend a hand in controlling this expense. We contacted ACAC to conduct health risk assessments at several of our locations. The program was an astounding success and the feedback from our employees has been very positive. Healthcare represents a significant expense to the company and to our employees. ACAC is helping Tiger Fuel and its employees control that cost!  We are very thankful to have ACAC as a partner in our Wellness programs."
Eric Wampler, Director of Human Resources, Tiger Fuel Company

"Our company has actively engaged in an integrated health management program for our employees. Each year for the past three years, we have held health fairs and at each one offered some sort of health risk assessment. I believe this past year gave us the greatest return on our investment. Not only did each employee receive a confidential report outlining their overall health but our company received a composite report indicating areas of concern for our group as a whole. This report enabled me to target additional programming to meet my employees' needs."
